"This device can perform faster"

Okay so I use one of those USB jump drives at work, its nice, one of those SanDisk Cruzer Titaniums. As you'd probably guess it is a USB 2.0 device. And then my primary computer which is this HP laptop doesn't have USB 2.0 support at all, it is kind of annoying not having the high speed USB but it is tolerable.

But what isn't tolerable is that stupid thing in Windows XP where if you plug a USB 2.0 device into a USB 1.1 port it says:

Now I can see the reason behind that if the given computer actually had a USB bus that supported USB 2.0 but it does it every time I insert it in there. If you click on it, it just then says "oh... you actually don't have any high speed USB ports." It would have been nice if they had taken the 5 minutes to write in the logic to only bug you about it if there was something you could actually do about it.

It gets very annoying over the course of the day. If anyone has any idea on how to disable that stupid thing, I'd love to hear about it.
